Clothing Alterations Sewing Course

This sewing course is an advanced-level course directed at adults who already can use a sewing machine and want to expand their sewing skills. During the course, we will work with ready-made garments, that participants can fit to suit their figures.

The focus is on five basic alterations:

• shortening trousers and dresses,
• raising shoulders in dresses and tops,
• taking in and widening suit trousers,
• taking in and widening dresses,
• shortening sleeves in men’s suit jackets or female’s jackets and coats.

You will have the opportunity to work with industrial equipment and specialist machines such as double-needle machines, invisible stitch machines and micro overlock machines.

The course duration is spread over two weeks, with 2.5-hour classes on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The upcoming terms are scheduled as follows:

• Term 1: 10 September and 11 September, and 17 September and 18 September.
• Term 2: 24 September and 25 September, and 01 October and 02 October.
• Term 3: 15 October and 16 October, and 22 October and 23 October.

The maximum number of students per class is 3.

The course costs €250.
